OUR MISSION
& PROMISE TO YOU
I have always dreamed of having a home with a big barn beside it, a space where family and friends could gather, celebrate, and feel at peace. Hosting has always been a part of who I am; I love opening my home, creating beautiful experiences, and making people feel welcome. In 2020, when life felt uncertain and the world began to slow down, my husband and I started looking for property outside the city. That is when we discovered what is now Black Barn at Stone Creek. From the moment we stepped onto the land, we knew it was something special. The barn and farmhouse felt like more than a Kansas countryside property. It felt like a calling.
We first operated the farmhouse as an Airbnb while I continued dreaming of creating a Kansas wedding venue and event space where guests could feel beauty, peace, and purpose. Over time, God brought the right people and resources to make that vision real. We have worked to bring new life into the barn and create a rustic Kansas barn venue rooted in hospitality and faith, a place where deeper community connections can grow.
Today, Black Barn at Stone Creek serves wedding couples, corporate retreat teams, schools, churches, community groups, healing ministries, and families seeking a scenic Kansas event venue. It has become everything I hoped it would be, a place designed to bless others and offer a welcoming, peaceful escape for weddings, celebrations, and gatherings of all kinds.

Owner & Vision Keeper
Hi, I’m Heidi Sarniecki; owner and vision keeper of Black Barn at Stone Creek. Creating meaningful spaces for people to gather, celebrate, and feel at home has always been a deep part of who I am. From the moment I first stepped onto this land, I knew it was meant to be shared, and that it could become a place of peace, purpose, and beauty for others.
What began as a dream to extend hospitality has grown into something so much more: a mission-rooted venue where love is celebrated, memories are made, and every event becomes part of a greater story. Together with my team, I feel truly honored to help bring each client’s vision to life; whether for a wedding, a retreat, or a milestone moment. We’re here to serve with heart, and to make sure your time at Black Barn is unforgettable in all the best ways.
PAXTON DAWSON
Venue Director & Client Experience Lead
Paxton Dawson is the heart behind the scenes at Black Barn at Stone Creek. As Venue Director and Client Experience Lead, she guides each couple and event host through the planning process with care, clarity, and purpose. With a passion for hospitality and a deep belief in the power of meaningful gatherings, Paxton ensures every client feels seen, supported, and confident from inquiry to “I do.”
Driven by Black Barn’s faith-rooted mission, she approaches her work with both warmth and professionalism; helping create celebrations that are not only beautiful, but truly impact.

For Giving
Caring for people is woven into everything we do at Black Barn. Long before hosting our first event, our owners felt called to support organizations serving survivors of sexual assault and abuse, a mission grounded in compassion, restoration, and hope. As our business grows, we remain committed to generosity. While we are not yet able to give from our operating profits, our owners personally support these nonprofits as an extension of the heart behind Black Barn. Our hope is that every celebration held here not only blesses the families who gather on this property, but also helps support healing and restoration far beyond our walls.
Non Profit
RELENTLESS PURSUIT OUTREACH AND RECOVERY
Relentless Pursuit Outreach and Recovery is a community-centered, faith-based organization dedicated to eradicating human trafficking. We strive to heal and restore survivors, bring justice to offenders, educate others on prevention and awareness, and be leaders in the community in order to end the exploitation of human beings.
The RPOR Drop-In Center offers a secure and welcoming environment for women involved in prostitution, regardless of their background or race.
